Pyramid Hill residents have welcomed the opening of the new Pyramid Hill Community Centre, a $3.27 million facility set to become a vital hub for health, wellbeing and community connection.
Loddon Shire Mayor, Cr Dan Straub officially opened the centre on Thursday 17 April 2025, acknowledging the strong support and collaboration that made the project possible.
“This marks a new chapter for our community,” Mayor Straub said. “The Community Centre will be a welcoming place designed for all, from our youngest members to our senior citizens.”
“I am proud we’ve delivered a beautiful facility that creates an inclusive space for the residents of Pyramid Hill, and the broader community to enjoy,” Mayor Straub said.
Mayor Straub thanked everyone who contributed to the delivery of the community centre.
This includes the very generous funding from the Victorian Government and Northern District Community Health without which, the Pyramid Hill Community Centre would not have been possible.
“I would also like to acknowledge and thank the contractor Searle Brothers for the delivery of this modern facility, Mayor Straub added.
Minister for Regional Development Jaclyn Symes said she was pleased to see the Community Centre ready for public use.
“We know how important it is for people to have easy access to health and community spaces to support their ongoing physical and mental wellbeing needs,’ Minister Symes said.
“I’m thrilled to see that the Pyramid Hill community now has a place for all of these services under a single roof, making it easier than ever for people of all ages to get the care they need, and connect with their friends and neighbours.”
The Pyramid Hill Community Centre features significant improvements, including:
In addition to the building itself, the new centre features accessible car parking, kerb and channel and associated draining infrastructure.
The project was made possible thanks to funding from the Victorian Government’s Regional Infrastructure Fund ($2,475,000), Loddon Shire Council ($700,000) and Northern District Community Health ($100,000).
