Council is responsible for the registration of caravan parks under the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2020.
Structures installed at a caravan park must be designed and constructed to appropriate standards. This is enforced to ensure the health and safety of the residents. Annexes and other structures must be able to withstand strong wind speeds, have minimum ceiling heights, appropriate ventilation, insulation and other features.
Before installing any structures, Council must be notified of the intentions and shown evidence that the structure is of an approved design.
