Loddon Shire Council’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (MPHWP) 2026–2029 is a key strategic document that outlines the shared goals and priorities for enhancing the health, wellbeing, safety, and preparedness of our communities.

For the first time, Council has integrated the MPHWP into the Council Plan 2025–2029, ensuring a whole-of-Council approach to health and wellbeing.

Guided by the Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2023–2027 and shaped by local data and community feedback, the plan focuses on five key priorities:

  • Healthy start in life
  • Mental wellbeing and connection
  • Healthy lifestyles and risk reduction
  • Safe and respectful communities
  • Tackling climate change and its impact on health

These priorities are aligned with our Community Vision 2035:

“Thriving communities where everyone is welcome and all have the opportunity to live, work and create experiences.”

Delivered in partnership with stakeholders and partner organisations, the plan’s progress will be measured and tracked via an Action Plan.
