Bridgewater Swimming Hole

Looking for a great day out at no cost to the family?

Why not visit the Bridgewater swimming hole located at Bridgewater on Loddon, on the northern side of the Loddon Bridge past the Bridgewater Hotel.

Enjoy the beautiful Loddon River, which serves as a natural infinity pool.  This secluded area has a floating pontoon and is off-limits from the designated water skiiing/speed boat zone. This area is suitable for swimming and small watercraft only.

There is a BBQ onsite with plenty of grass and shade to relax, along with a timber deck leading to the water's edge.

Please be aware the Bridgewater swimming hole does not have a lifeguard on duty.  Please ensure you take note of all safety signage before entering the water.  In case of emergency, refer to the emergency marker signs in the area.

Swimming Pools

Loddon Shire has five swimming pools within the municipality, located at Boort, Inglewood, Mitiamo, Pyramid Hill and Wedderburn. 

Belgravia Leisure has been contracted to operate and manage all five swimming pools, and Loddon Shire Council encourages all community members to take advantage of these facilities during the summer months.

Smoking or vaping is NOT permitted within the swimming pool grounds.

NOTE:  Children under the age of 10 must be actively supervised and attended by a responsible person 16 years of age or older in accordance with Life Saving Victoria's Watch Around Water Policy. Pool season

Season Opening: Annually on the third Saturday in November.

Season Closing: Annually on the Monday of the Labour Day weekend in March.

All pools in Loddon Shire will be closed on Christmas Day

School holiday opening hours are in line with the Victorian Government school term dates.  To view these, please visit their website.

Pool opening times vary.  Please use the links below to check the opening times for individual pools. 

Cold weather:  Loddon Shire pools will not open if the forecast temperature is 24 degrees or below (forecast is based on Echuca and is obtained from the Bureau of Meteorology at 6pm the previous day).
