Have your say on Bridgewater and Inglewood structure plans
Published on 22 June 2026
The next stage in the future development of Bridgewater and Inglewood is here, with the development of draft structure plans for the towns.
The drafts, which followed extensive community consultation, are now available to view for Bridgewater and Inglewood.
They consider how land can be used, what infrastructure is required and how challenges and opportunities can be addressed.
Council is now seeking further feedback from the community on the drafts.
As well as having your say on the Connect@Loddon platform, consultation will involve a community drop-in session in each town in mid-July and discussions with key groups and agencies. Dates for the drop-in sessions are expected to be confirmed soon.
Both towns were identified in Council’s Planning Scheme Review in 2023 as priorities for a structure plan, due to the existing levels of demand, the proximity to Bendigo, and the environmental challenges of bushfire and flood.
The plans have been developed by consultants Plan2Place and have been supported by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP).
Loddon Shire Mayor Dan Straub encouraged residents to read and provide feedback on the drafts.
“We’ve already had some excellent community feedback as the drafts were being prepared but now’s your chance to really dive into what is being proposed and have your say,” he said.
Following this consultation period, the plans will be finalised and presented at a future Council meeting for further consideration.
