Loddon Shire Council has formally adopted its 2025/26 Annual Report, showcasing a year of strong project delivery, community investment and continued progress against the priorities outlined in the Council Plan.

The Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of Council’s performance, financial position, governance activities and service delivery over the past 12 months and serves as an important accountability document for the community.

Loddon Shire Mayor Dan Straub said the report reflected Council’s commitment to delivering positive outcomes for residents across the shire.

“We’re often asked what Council does and there’s no better answer than that found in the Annual Report,” he said.

“It contains an easy-to-read snapshot of Council’s activities during the past financial year, as well as information on staff and our financial statements among many other things.

“The Annual Report demonstrates the significant amount of work undertaken throughout the year to strengthen our communities, maintain essential services and invest in infrastructure that supports our shire’s future.

“Despite the challenges facing rural councils, we have continued to deliver on key priorities while planning for future growth and opportunities.”

Key achievements highlighted in the report include the adoption of the Council Plan 2025-2029 and Community Vision 2035, completion of Council’s annual infrastructure program, continued progress on flood recovery projects, substantial investment in road renewals and upgrades, funding secured for the Little Lake Boort Foreshore Precinct project, and an increase in community satisfaction with Council’s performance.

“Council delivers a diverse range of services across a large rural municipality, and this report highlights the collective efforts of our staff, Councillors and community to achieve meaningful outcomes for residents,” Cr Straub said.

“The achievements outlined in the report provide a strong foundation as we continue working towards the goals set out in our Council Plan and Community Vision.”

The 2025/26 Annual Report will be available in the coming weeks on Council’s website.
