2026 Loddon Valley Arts Trail program launched

New venues. More musical performances. And more ways to get “out there in every way”.
Loddon Valley Arts Trail’s program for 2-4 October promises to defy expectations with a packed festival across Loddon Shire.
“Artists, community groups, businesses and organisations are getting behind the Arts Trail as it develops into a festival that includes all kinds of art exhibitions as well as music concerts, talk events and workshops,” said Loddon Shire Mayor Dan Straub.
“The program makes the most of each town and region in our shire,” he said.
“We’re very proud that here in Loddon we are showing just how exciting an Arts Trail can be.”
The festival opens at Inglewood’s Eucalyptus Distillery Museum on Thursday 2 October with the announcement of the Eucy Art Show winners.
It closes on Sunday 4 October with food stalls at the Calivil Hall for a final look at the Look of Loddon photography exhibition by the Image Chasers.
Feature events include a spectacular art, sound and light projection installation at the East Loddon Woolshed called Red Bricks, which brings to life the history and the people behind the building.
“From Mitiamo to Kingower and many places in between, our Arts Trail has so many stars it’s like a brilliant constellation that will light up Loddon in October,” Cr Straub said.
“Our big skies, are warm welcome, and our creative energy will all be on show at the Arts Trail.”
Coordinator Rosemary Sorensen said the addition of both music and talk events was a natural extension of the festival’s programming.
“The exhibitions, like Ordinary/Extraordinary in our new venue, Serpentine Hall, and the big Life Drawing show in Bridgewater, arouses people’s curiosity,” she said.
“The music, like Archer Shepherd in St Mary’s Kingower and Carl Panuzzo in a paddock at Fentons Creek, is good for the soul.
“And we haven’t neglected people who want to have a go themselves with wood carving workshops by the wonderful Eli Beke, a sketching session at Wedderburn’s Hard Hill and for those who want to immerse themselves well and truly, a full-day print workshop in Mysia.
“Our philosophy is, you can’t get enough creativity, and you can’t get enough Loddon, so put them together and it’s sure to be brilliant.”
