2025 Loddon Healthy Minds Art Competition winners announced

The winners of the 2025 Loddon Healthy Minds Network Art Competition have been announced, showcasing the talent, creativity, and insight of residents across the Shire.

This year, the competition attracted 265 outstanding entries from participants of all ages, with artworks exploring positive mental health messages through a range of inspiring themes.

Entries were across four categories:

  • Open Age and Senior Students (Years 9–12)
     Theme 1: If you stumble, make it part of the dance
     Theme 2: It’s okay to say NO
  • Middle School Students (Grades 5–8)
     Theme 1: Believe in yourself
     Theme 2: Life in balance
  • Junior Students (Grades 3–4) – Colouring Competition
     Theme: I Am Proud To Be Me
  • Junior Students (Prep–Grade 2) – Colouring Competition
     Theme: Hey, Can I Help You

The Best in Show award went to Connor McNally, Grade 6, Boort District School, for his artwork interpreting the theme Life in balance. Congratulations, Connor.

The prizes are proudly sponsored by Inglewood and Districts Community Bank.

Chair of the Loddon Healthy Minds Network, Loddon Shire Mayor Dan Straub, congratulated all participants and highlighted the importance of the competition in supporting community wellbeing.

“This competition gives participants a positive and creative way to share messages about mental health and wellbeing,” Cr Straub said.

“It’s inspiring to see the thought and passion behind the artworks, and I congratulate everyone who took part.

“Each entry reflects the importance of self-belief, balance and kindness in our everyday lives.”

The Loddon Healthy Minds Network commends all participants for their creativity and the powerful messages expressed through their art.

These works not only highlight the incredible artistic talent in our community but also encourage important conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
