Swimming pools

Loddon Shire has five swimming pools within the municipality, located at Boort, Inglewood, Mitiamo, Pyramid Hill and Wedderburn.

Unified Community Sports and Leisure has been contracted to staff and provide administrative support to all five swimming pools, and Loddon Shire Council encourages all community members to take advantage of these facilities during the summer months.

Smoking is NOT permitted within the swimming pool grounds.

NOTE:  Children under 10 years of age must be actively supervised and attended by a responsible person 16 years of age or older.

Pool season

All swimming pools open annually on the third Saturday in November.

All pools will be closed on Christmas Day.

The swimming pool season then closes on the Monday of the Labour Day weekend in March.

Loddon Shire public swimming pools will open if the forecast temperature is 23 degrees or over (the forecast is based on Echuca and is obtained from the Bureau of Meteorology at 6pm the previous day).  This will provide Council extra resources to open pools for longer periods on hotter days when the demand is greater.

In the event of pre-booking for schools, swimming clubs or community groups, this policy will not be enforced.

For safety reasons, if lightning is in the immediate area, patrons will be directed to leave the water until the danger has passed.  If it is apparent the lightning is not going to pass quickly, the facility will be closed.
