Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission reporting tool

VEOHRC

The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission) is an independent statutory body, with responsibilities under the Equal Opportunity Act 2010, the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001, and the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006. Our vision is for a fair, safe, and inclusive Victoria, where every person is respected and treated with dignity. To achieve this vision we engage and influence law and policy makers, institutions, communities, and individuals, to protect and promote human rights in Victoria.

In partnership with Code for Australia, the Commission has developed a community reporting tool as an alternative to launching a formal complaint. The reporting tool is not designed to replace our existing complaints services, but is instead designed to offer an additional engagement opportunity, and to increase accessibility of the Commission, particularly for people from African and/or Muslim communities. The community reporting tool enables community members to make short, confidential reports directly to the Commission.
