On the 23rd June 2008 at its Ordinary Meeting Council adopted the budget for 2008/2009

The budget includes a number of new initiatives:
• Our ongoing commitment to the Community Planning Program ($700,000)
• Increased commitment to meeting the objectives of the Economic Development Strategy ($695,000)
• Support funding for the Pyramid Hill Swimming Pool/Tennis Club precinct upgrade ($295,000)
• Ongoing commitment to meet the objectives of the Recreation Strategy
• Inglewood Serpentine Road $306,000
• Echuca Serpentine Road $330,000
• Inglewood Stormwater Drainage $310,000
• Local Roads Reseals $1.167M
• Gravel Roads and Shoulder Re-sheets $1.2M

The Total Capital Works program will be $5.05 million. Of the $5.05 million in capital funding required, $0.889 million will come from Council operations, $2.664 million from external grants and contributions and asset sales, and the balance of $1.497 million from reserves.
