| Local Law No.3 (Municipal Places) - PROPOSED AMENDMENT
At its meeting on 28th September 2009, Council resolved to amend Local Law No. 3 (Municipal Places).
The purpose of this Local Law is to allow and protect the quiet enjoyment of municipal places and enjoy recreational facilities in a safe and healthy environment.
The proposed amendment includes:
* Amendment to remove serious offences that are enacted in State legislation * Prohibit the Consumption of Alcohol in public place * Replace 'designated areas' with 'built up area' that apply to the Control of animals * Introduce a definition of 'built up area' * Amendment to penalties whereby dollar amounts are replaced with penalty units
A copy of Local Law No. 3, as amended, will be available for inspection at the following locations:
* Shire Offices at 41 High Street, Wedderburn * Shire Offices at 37 Peppercorn Way, Serpentine * Boort Resource and Information Centre, Godfrey Street, Boort * CBI Office, Bridgewater * All Post Offices within Loddon Shire

Any person wishing to make a submission in regard to Local Law No. 3 (Municipal Places) should do so in writing addressed to:
