Occasional Care – Dingee and Inglewood
Released on 19 June 2017
Families with children living in the Inglewood and Dingee areas now have access to occasional child care, with Council offering the program during terms 3 and 4.
The occasional care program, which will run from Council’s kindergarten buildings, is available to families with children aged from three to six years.
The service will cost families just $8 per hour for their child to attend the program. A 10 per cent discount will also be provided to families that book their child into the program for an entire term.
Loddon Shire Council’s Director Community Wellbeing Wendy Gladman said the occasional care service had been welcomed by families in the community.
“Council’s Early Years team has received a positive feedback from families regarding an occasional care program in the Inglewood and Dingee areas,” Ms Gladman said.
“Council is pleased to offer this low-cost service to the community, and encourages families who are looking for occasional care to please get in touch with Council for more information.
“Places are limited to 11 children per day, so it is important that families that would like to book their child into the program do so as soon as possible to avoid missing a place.”
The occasional care program will also provide child care during school hours for children eligible to travel to kinder on the school bus. This means children will be able to return home on the bus at the end of the school day, saving families from making several trips into town.
For more information on the days and hours occasional care will run in your area call Council’s Early Years Coordinator on 5437 7999.
